Bali is a destination well known and well loved for relaxation, natural beauty and spiritual discovery. This retreat offers us a rare opportunity to combine a visit to this beautiful island with the genuine inner peace and happiness that can be found by meditating on Buddha’s sublime teachings.
Set in a tropical mountainside resort in gardens of lush unspoilt nature this retreat is a chance to escape the stress and busyness of life and experience the peace of meditation for yourself. Discover more about Buddhist teachings and be guided to the deep inner stillness and mental freedom that exists within our own hearts.
The teachings will be based on Eight Steps to Happiness by Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso. These much loved teachings explain the path to enlightenment as practical advice. The presentation of the teachings make it an especially important topic for modern people as it shows how to meditate on and practise love, compassion, and wisdom in these difficult times where we are surrounded by distractions.
The week offers a valuable space to gain experience of these essential meditations giving our mind a much needed lift. Ultimately, we will awaken our spiritual potential and find lasting joy and contentment through the practice of these teachings.
