Kadampa Meditation Centre Singapore presently offers two types of study programme:
General Programme provides a basic introduction to Buddhist view, meditation, and practice that is suitable for beginners.
It also includes advanced teachings and practices from both Sutra and Tantra.
These General Programme meditation classes are offered most nights of the week at KMC on Neil Road.
The Foundation Programme provides an opportunity to deepen our understanding and experience of Buddhism through a systematic study of authentic texts written by Geshe Kelsang Gyatso.
At the moment we are studying Eight Steps to Happiness which is a commentary to Bodhisattva Langri Tangpa’s Eight Verse of Training the Mind composed in the 11th century in Tibet by this revered Buddhist Master.
Although only eight four-line verses this remarkable text reveals the essence of the Mahayana Buddhist path to enlightenment, showing how we can transform our mind from its present confused and self-centred state into the perfect wisdom and compassion of a Buddha.
This programme is taught in two 2-hour classes Saturday mornings from 9:00am – 1:15pm.
