Teachings on Eight Steps to Happiness:
These teachings, based on the much loved text by Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche, explain the path to enlightenment as practical advice. The presentation of the teachings make it an especially important topic for modern people as it shows how to meditate on and practise love, compassion and wisdom in these difficult times where we are surrounded by distractions.
The course will be taught by disciples of Venerable Geshe-la, Gen Kelsang Dornying and Gen Kelsang Drolkyi
Gen Kelsang Drolkyi is the Resident Teacher of Kadampa Meditation Centre Singapore. She is a senior NKT Teacher who has taught internationally for many years. Gen Drolkyi's experience of Dharma makes her teachings clear and practical showing how everyone can learn to live a joyful life through Dharma practice.
Gen Kelsang Dornying is the Resident Teacher of both Kadampa Meditation Centre Australia and Kadampa Meditation Centre Melbourne. He has been teaching Kadam Dharma in Australia and internationally for many years. He is an inspiring and light-hearted teacher of modern Buddhism who is greatly loved for his warmth and sincerity.
Thailand is well known as a place of Buddhism, culture and natural beauty. During the retreat, students will have the opportunity to sample local life, food and the warmth of Thai hospitality. Whilst developing the inner peace we all need so much to help us cope with modern life.
