Working Visits

A working visit is a good opportunity to enjoy a rewarding break and a chance to experience the Buddhist way of life first hand for a week. It is ideal for travellers from/to Europe and Australasia as a stopover break.

What to expect

KMC Singapore is situated on the edge of bustling Chinatown and the Central Business District.  We can offer the following activities:-  light office work, cooking, cleaning, decorating, building work, web design etc.

The Spiritual Programme

As a working visitor you are welcome to take part in the spiritual activities at Kadampa  Meditation Centre Singapore. In the evenings you can attend General Programme classes on Buddhist thought and meditation & you can attend daily prayers. At weekends we hold regular weekend Meditation Retreats and Day Courses. These classes are all free to working visitors. Please note there are no classes during our term breaks.

We will provide seven days free accommodation at the apartment of a KMC student, free travel to and from KMC, and three vegetarian meals a day in exchange for 35 hours work a week (usually spread over five days).
